A real client interview: Office services business experience.
He was trying to keep staff morale up while carrying the pressure himself. Thomas Gibson’s interview shows what debt stress felt like inside his office business, and why clear explanations and unexpected check in calls stood out.

An explanation he could follow
He says Coastal explained the approach step by step and told him what to expect. He particularly values calls checking how he was doing, beyond discussing the arrangement itself. 00:07 My name is Thomas Gibson. I'm the owner of IMS Executive Suites Inc. in Arcadia, California. What we offer is a office space to professionals and we also have a second tier virtual office services and uh we offer a full blown office services to them.
00:26 My financial situation was very good. Um, it wasn't until COVID hit, we started to lose clients. They couldn't afford their lease any longer. Rather heavy for me financially. So, I was approached and you always get these advertisements from these different companies offering you money.
00:44 I must get about six or seven calls a day even today. So, uh, I guess my better judgment, I went with them. But there were some things they were doing. and they were taking money out of the account when they weren't supposed to.
00:59 The deal was they take it out once uh I think on a daily basis 5 days a week, but it was it was taking out more than they should have. So that's when I I called them on it and we had a disagreement.
01:11 So I said they weren't going to pay. But when you do that, there are consequences of that. Well, you get these threatening calls, they're going to take you to court. So, it was just disrupting the entire company uh morale, the company's atmosphere.
01:24 I have to keep the morale going. And I tried my best to hide it, but it was becoming such a burden. So, that's when I knew I needed help. When Coastal came in, when I talked to Coastal staff on the phone, I like the way they came across.
01:41 I could feel they were honest. Coastal told me how they was going to approach this situation. They told me step by step and what to expect. So there was no surprises and they've honored everything they told me they've they've done.
01:55 To me the the the cherry on top of the deal is that when you get calls from Coastal out of the blue just see how you doing? Mr. Gibson, are you okay? Have you heard anything?
02:10 I'm very happy with Coastal. That was one good decision that I made. And again, Coastal has given me the support I need. give me that that self assurance and that confidence. Thanks to coastal debt, it make life a lot easier for me.
02:22 I sleep better at night and thanks goes to bed. It's good.

The lesson to explore
Before proceeding with a proposal, ask for a clear explanation of its steps and expected communication. Keep written questions about account activity separate from assumptions about what an arrangement will accomplish.
